Due to 14 flights I have taken I won't have time to write even half up here in good details, so I choose to write a few summary and my thoughts and highlights on some of those. (and attach with some pictures as usual to make it interesting) All Photos copyrighted to Sam Chui

One of most enjoyable things in Frankfurt is sit in a room for 3 days non-stop trading and look at millions of slides. Sold worth over 2500 Euro and swaped over 1000 slides in the largest slide convention and people bringing stuff are just beautiful and amazing range from Iraqi 747SP to Air India L1011. Fantastic ramp 50mm shots! About 400 collector turned up! Will do the same next year!

After Frankfurt I went to Zurich for 2 days, the weather was very nice in whole continental Europe from 3 Nov for 1 week, we have a very high pressure around, ZRH had early morning fog beside is all sunny. Enjoy a few pic I took:

One of many Swiss MD-11 parked and withdrawn from service , enjoy this 18mm shot! (HB-IWB)

One of the unusual angle, I was right under the tank belly of this MD11, something I wanted to do for a while! ;)

Zurich have many good spotting location for action photos. Even this shot is taken on the ramp, it would make not much difference if shoted outside through those photo holes near the helipad.

Next went to Tenerife via Madrid, on board nice Iberia B747-200 EC-HVD, very enjoyable flight with 166pax FL370 Mach 0.85, also a clear day for flying to the Canaries. Special thanks to Gabe Basco for his every care and assistance during my stay, making it very smooth and trouble free.

On approach Rwy 30 into Tenerife North

Tenerife North offered some tremendously spot for photos!

747-300 TF-ATI lifted up quickly return to Madrid.

After Tenerife, head back to Madrid on board the latest Iberia A340-600 EC-IQR, Salvador Dali. This plane arrived in TFN 3 hrs late resulted a late departure at 2300 instead of the STA 1950 pm, most other pax were accomdated to leave Tenerife earlier on a SpanAir MD80 flight. I insisted to wait for the A340-600, because I know otherwise, the whole purpose of my booking on Iberia will be defeated. It is quite unreal actually, when we commenced boarding, I walked from the back (boarded by stairways) all the way to the front, when reached business cabin and first class, there were NO even one other soul around. At the end I was the only pax in the whole First and Business cabin with another Iberia crew. The purser told me "This is your personal airplane now!" I would dare to think about an A340-600 with only me in the whole front section!!!!!!!!!!!

A photo of me (very tired, taken near midnight)

The seat can go fully flat, controlled by hydraulic fully, very nice and comfortable. Iberia also served a good dinner for the short 2.5 hrs flight. I am quite happy the way it went even it delayed 3 hrs and we arrived into Madrid in darkness at 0215am and the terminal looks deserted. I have a 6am Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt, so I decided to stay up in the terminal, lay on a chair to sleep for a few hrs like a refugee, what a difference, from the luxury first class to sleep on an airport bench.

Return flight from Madrid to LA via Frankfurt was very enjoyable, Lufthansa is a very nice and punctual airline, I have mostly good experience on them, even a 30 mins flight from ZRH to FRA, you get a good sandwich and drinks. Most crew work very hard and tried to smile most of the time. On the long hauls, the crew even greeted me by calling my surname, I suppose my UA Premier 100K status got something to do. Lufthansa have the same policy for Star Gold card holder, they will try to block the next seat to you on flights in Economy. All of my 6 flights on LH, I have no one seating right up next to me, on quite a few sectors, I have the whole row to myself thanks for the blockage! Lufthansa also seems using a lot of younger and very good looking crew on their B747 long haul flights. Also some of the male attendant are very stiff, one purser just couldn't smile to some most adorable kids around, although he tried. I know very well once you step in the cabin of an airline, you will sense their cultural, and if you ride in UA, you feel like in the US, and ride in LH, feels like I am in Germany! I will definity use Lufthansa in Europe again!

Arriving into LAX greeted by Airliners.net screener Andy Martin and many local gangs such as Paul Paulsen, Josh May, Mike Carter, Mike Arcellana and Tim K. and Jay P. from Phoenix! and also surprised to see Mike Mclaughlin and Carlos Boarder around LAX.

On 10 Nov, we did a Cessna flight over the desert storage yard again, like one month ago. Flown out of Long Beach for Victorivlle, this time was better, we saw a ex-Delta L1011 holding under us waiting clearance for takeoff leaving the desert!! (with JY-SGI as Reg.) and also Johnny Travolta 707 (Qantas cs) in there. With 3 Singapore B747-400 there (9V-SMH, SML...) and about 10 United B747-400, UA seems have a few 744 got out of VCV flying again now! Mojave is rather the same as a month ago, with Swissair MD-11 and many DC-10 and Fk100s pre-doimantly represented there. On the flight return from Mojave to Long Beach, we also purposefully flown over LAX at about 3500 feet. But at 4pm, it is a quite hour for LAX, we didn't get to see any 747 takeoff under us, otherwise would be spectacular. One of these days I know I will hit the jackpot.

Wonder why Singapore Air taped up the colors and titles?

Victoville is L1011 graveyard!

John Travolta B707 (the few was active in there?)
